Commissionaires BC looking for a security supervisor for the Tolko Mill site in Lavington, B.C. This role involves frequent walking and stair usage while monitoring assigned areas to ensure safety, security, and compliance with site rules, as well as assisting with scheduling, training and client relations. Schedule: Sunday to Thursday 11pm till 7am
Wage: $23.65/hr Some of your responsibilities include:
Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country. Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings. Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.
Wage: $23.65/hr Some of your responsibilities include:
- Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
- Perform regular exterior and interior patrols, including mechanical rooms
- Equipment alarm response and monitoring
- Provide access control as per site regulations, including issuing of access cards
- Investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary
- Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public
- Help coordinate and support training of new staff
- Liaise with management and the client regarding any service issues or concerns
- Assist with scheduling coverage at site, and submitting time sheet information as required
- A valid BC Security License
- Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Ability to complete continuous foot patrols, walk up and down multiple sets of stairs during your shift
- Ability to work in an environment with dust exposure
- Prior supervisory experience would be an asset
