Key Responsibilities: <\/b>

• Welding Processes: <\/b> Perform SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welds to specification.
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Compliance: <\/b> Adhere to all C&A, Provincial, and Prime Contractor health and safety regulations.
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Technical Execution: <\/b> Read blueprints, identify materials and parts from bills of material, fit complex weldments and determine welding procedures to minimize distortion.
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Mathematics <\/b> : Apply knowledge of fractions, measuring, and geometry. <\/span>

  Qualifications: <\/b>

  • Journeypersons: <\/b> Must possess an Alberta Welding Certificate or Inter\-Provincial Red Seal.
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • Apprentices: <\/b> Must possess a High School Diploma.
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • Certifications: <\/b> Ability to pass CWB welding tests.
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • Driver’s License: <\/b> Candidates with a valid Class 5 license and clean 3 year driving abstract are strongly preferred. <\/span>
