Join the Water Services Department as a Senior Structural Engineer in Burnaby. Lead complex engineering projects involving seismic upgrades and new reservoirs while mentoring fellow engineers. At Metro Vancouver, we're seeking an experienced engineer to shape our Water Services Engineering, Design, & Construction team. This position is designed for professionals with strong structural and seismic engineering skills, providing leadership for multi-discipline projects. With over 8 years of experience, you will manage project budgets, guide technical standards, and ensure adherence to corporate policies across various engineering tasks. Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise complex structural engineering projects
• Manage budgets and prepare financial reports
• Provide guidance on technical and policy issues
• Develop technical standards and engineering procedures
• Oversee work of consultants and contractors Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Applied Science Engineering
• 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience
• Professional Engineer registration with EGBC
• Expertise in structural and seismic design
• Strong communications and leadership skills Utilize your engineering expertise while contributing to essential projects at Metro Vancouver.
