Spinal Clinical Educator - National Spinal Injuries Unit

The Role

As a Neurology Clinical Educator within the National Spinal Injuries Unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of specialist care across NHSGGC and beyond. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

• Across Monday to Friday
• Permanent, part-time
• Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high quality education and training programmes within spinal injuries across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop, implement and evaluate innovative learning solutions to support staff development and service improvement
• Promote and embed evidence based practice and person centred care across multidisciplinary teams
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives, including clinical audit and governance activity
• Collaborate with local and national partners to develop standardised education programmes and competencies
• Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to staff, patients and carers within the specialist field
• Create a positive learning culture that supports lifelong learning and professional development

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• Registered Nurse on the NMC register with degree level education or equivalent
• Significant post registration experience within spinal injuries, with evidence of Band 6 level practice or above
• Experience of delivering education and training within a clinical environment
• Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning
• Strong leadership, organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire others
• High level IT skills with experience in developing and delivering digital learning solutions
