Senior Underwriter for Surety at Allianz Trade

Join Allianz Trade as a Senior Surety Underwriter and focus on underwriting and marketing within the Canadian surety landscape. Build robust broker relationships and maximize profitability. In this role, collaborate with the VP of Surety to enhance the strategic business plan for surety offerings. Your entrepreneurial mindset will be crucial in identifying market opportunities and managing a profitable portfolio. Engage with local brokers and document all decisions positively. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand the Canadian surety portfolio
- Develop profitable engagements with brokers
- Document and communicate underwriting decisions
- Execute portfolio assessments based on guidelines
- Participate in industry groups and events
- At least 4 years of surety underwriting experience
- Strong abilities in the Canadian surety market
- Proven skills in building client relationships
- Successful prior underwriting outcomes
- Fluency in English and French required
