Commercial Mortgage Underwriter
As part of a growing, dynamic and solution-focused commercial team, the Commercial Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for underwriting conventional commercial mortgages, adhering to established policies, meeting compliance and control requirements, and providing creative, service-oriented solutions to achieve department goals and annual target volumes.
Responsabilités
- Analyse et souscrit des dossiers de crédit commercial, principalement pour des prêts hypothécaires commerciaux conventionnels (environ 50 % du temps). Assure le respect des politiques de prêt et soumet ses recommandations pour approbation.
- Coordination interne et externe (équipes de financement, gestionnaires, banques partenaires, courtiers hypothécaires, clients, notaires, évaluateurs, consultants). Garantit un traitement efficace dans les délais (environ 30 % du temps).
- Gestion du pipeline de dossiers – suivi rigoureux et gestion des priorités (15 % du temps).
- Production de rapports mensuels et tâches administratives pour le département (5 % du temps).
Exigences et compétences
- Bilinguisme français‑anglais requis.
- Minimum 2 ans d’expérience en prêts hypothécaires commerciaux ou en souscription résidentielle.
- Formation postsecondaire (diplôme ou baccalauréat) en administration des affaires, finance ou domaine connexe.
- Maîtrise de Microsoft Office, surtout Word et Excel.
- Excellentes capacités analytiques, de résolution de problèmes et d’organisation.
- Bonne connaissance du marché hypothécaire commercial et des critères de prêts garantis.
- Excellentes compétences de communication écrite et orale.
- Disponibilité et motivation à assister à des événements liés aux courtiers, parfois après les heures.
- Accès à un véhicule pour visites et inspections de propriétés.
