As a Trade Credit Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the creditworthiness of businesses seeking trade credit insurance. Your primary role will involve analyzing financial data, industry trends, and market conditions to make informed decisions on credit limits and terms. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales and risk management teams, to ensure that credit decisions align with the company's risk appetite while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate credit applications and financial statements to determine credit risk.
- Analyze market trends and industry data to assess the overall risk profile of potential clients.
- Collaborate with brokers to gather necessary information and provide insights into credit decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Monitor and assess the long term creditworthiness of existing clients, recommending appropriate credit limits as needed.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and market developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in trade credit underwriting or a similar role
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and market trends.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
