Dev Ops/Cloud Application Support Consultant

Position Description
We are looking for a DevOps / Cloud Application Support Engineer to join our team and support the development, deployment, operation, and ongoing improvement of our digital banking platform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, application support, automation, and the software development lifecycle. This role requires someone who is comfortable working across development, infrastructure, and operational support teams and can troubleshoot complex application and environment-related issues.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Support and maintain applications and services across development, testing, and production environments.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Support cloud and containerized application infrastructure.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and operational activities using scripting and DevOps tools.
• Troubleshoot application, database, infrastructure, and deployment-related issues.
• Support Kubernetes-based environments, including application deployments, configuration, pod health, and troubleshooting.
• Perform SQL Server administration and troubleshooting activities as required.
• Develop and maintain T-SQL and PowerShell scripts for operational and automation purposes.
• Manage and troubleshoot SSL certificates and related application configurations.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, security, and application support teams.
• Participate in production deployments, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to monitoring, observability, operational documentation, and deployment runbooks.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Candidates should have a good understanding of:
• DevOps processes, practices, and methodologies
• Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Cloud infrastructure and cloud-based application environments
• Application deployment and operational support
• Infrastructure and deployment automation

Hands-on experience or a strong working understanding of:
• Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Microsoft SQL Server administration/management
• T-SQL
• PowerShell
• Kubernetes
• SSL certificates and certificate management

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Microsoft IIS
• .NET / ASP.NET
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Network fundamentals and troubleshooting
• Grafana
• Dynatrace or similar application performance monitoring tools
• Web application development
• iOS and/or Android application development
• Digital banking or financial services technology

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000–$110,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
