Manager, Application Security

Your new role : 

A hands-on  Manager (Application Security)to lead and mature our application security program while building a security-first culture across engineering. You'll balance security, compliance, and business priorities to proactively identify risks, drive remediation, and help ensure secure software delivery at scale.

Working closely with Engineering, Product, and Compliance, you'll guide security strategy, lead a small team, and remain deeply involved in architecture reviews, threat modeling, and secure development practices across our Rails, React Native, and AWS-based platform.

What you'll need to succeed  

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years focused on application security.
• Experience building and leading application security programs, including roadmap ownership and risk prioritization.
• Previous people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing technical teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with  Ruby on Rails ,  React , and/or  React Native .
• Deep understanding of  OWASP Top 10 , API security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Experience securing cloud-native applications in  AWS (IAM, VPC, secrets management, CloudTrail, GuardDuty)
• Proven ability to communicate technical security risks to both engineering and executive stakeholders.
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and modern software development workflows.
