About the role

We are looking for a Senior Java Back‑End Software Developer to join our growing team.

What you’ll do here

• Carry out analysis of systems and programming requirements to identify problems and provide solution proposals including program specifications.
• Develop system specifications, code, modify, test and debug computer programs under general supervision, according to planning and deadlines.
• Master the technical and business functionalities of the system to explain them to other colleagues while interacting effectively with users.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and software components.
• Organize and manage production sessions.
• Design and model programmatic solutions for complex problems to enable the realization of documented functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Review design as part of deliverables (code and design quality).
• Develop and support complex components.
• Support and guide the project team in development activities to ensure the quality of delivered code while meeting project deadlines.
• Write unit, integration and automated tests for each function developed.
• Participate in the implementation of regression testing strategies to improve the stability of application components.
• Implement and maintain DevOps practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Ensure support and maintenance (level1) of the application and resolve complex anomalies.
• Work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• We are looking for a developer specialized in test automation and DevOps to strengthen our team and improve the quality and efficiency of our deliverables.

What you bring to the table

• Undergraduate degree in computer science or any combination of equivalent training and experience.
• 8 years’ experience in development and automated testing.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize.
• Initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work as part of a team and attention to detail.
• Bilingualism required (French / English) – need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.

Preferred technologies

• JUnit/TestNG – popular testing frameworks for Java.
• Cypress and/or Playwright – end‑to‑end testing frameworks for web applications.
• Cucumber – for Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD).
• CI/CD – skills highly desirable.
• Java – highly desirable.
• Spring Boot – skill desired.
• Maven – skill required.
• Microservices – skills required.
• MongoDB – basic knowledge.
• Oracle – basic knowledge.
