Voyago is now hiring School Bus Drivers in Kitchener/Waterloo for the 2026/2027 school year!

We are currently seeking Part-Time Drivers for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year! Part time drivers will be assigned a school route for the duration of the school year. We're also hiring Route Support Drivers . These drivers will assit and cover routes when drivers call in sick or have booked time off.

Your role:

• Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
• Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
• Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
• Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
• Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers

Requirements

Your profile:

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year
• If you don’t currently hold a B or E Class licence, Voyago has you covered, full training is provided at no cost to you!
• You are 21 years of age or over
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
• You have sound knowledge of Kitchener, Waterloo and surrounding areas
• You have the ability to work independently
• You are available for the required shifts:
• Monday to Friday approximately 6:30am to 9:15am  AND 1:00pm to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route)
• You possess solid communication skills
• You enjoy being around children with disabilities of all ages
• You are comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions
• You are comfortable driving large vehicles
• You have basic computer skills and can easily navigate Google Maps or a GPS unit

• We’re looking for drivers to welcome to our team for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year! This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a dedicated route and become a familiar, trusted face in your community
• As a part-time driver, you’ll be assigned a route from September through June giving you the stability of a set schedule while still enjoying the flexibility of part-time, split shift work
• You’ll play a key role in safely transporting students each day and building meaningful connections along the way
• While routes may occasionally adjust for changes in student needs or programs, the driver remains on the route as long as there are no major location changes. This provides a sense of consistency and routine for drivers, students, parents, and school staff

Route Details - Route Support Drivers

Route Support Drivers play an essential role that keep our operations moving and our students safe!

• As a Route Support Driver, you’ll step in wherever you’re needed most, whether covering for a driver who’s away or supporting routes during busy periods. You’re the go-to professional who ensures students get to school safely in the morning and home again at the end of the day. This role is critical to maintaining reliable service, keeping routes on schedule, and making sure no student is ever left behind!
• This position is perfect for drivers who enjoy variety and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have the opportunity to operate a range of vehicles, including big yellow buses, mini yellow buses, wheelchair-accessible buses, and minivans while supporting routes across the Kitcherner Waterloo region
• No two days are the same. You’ll experience different routes, work with diverse teams, and connect with communities across the region. It’s a great way to build your skills, gain exposure, and stay engaged in meaningful work
• Route Support Drivers can expect between 12 to 25 hours per week, with additional opportunities to pick up extra hours by assisting with operational needs such as vehicle moves, wash bay, or other tasks around the office

Please note, applicants who are only interested in driving a minivan will not be considered .

Hourly Rate:

By joining the Voyago Schools team, you’ll find we offer competitive hourly pay!

• Big yellow, mini-yellow, wheelchair bus, and driver base rate are all $22.80 /hour!

We also offer:

• FREE drivers licence upgrade training
• You will be compensated for a 4 hour minimum daily shift
• Opportunities are available with charters for extra hours
• We offer routes within Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo!
• The full time comprehensive benefit package is available if you work 30+ hours or more per week.

Your Location:

• Drivers can park their buses in the main yard, 599 Wabanaki Drive
• Got a driveway with some extra space? You might be able to keep your bus at home for the school year!
• No space? No problem. We also have a few park-out locations so your ride is never too far away!
