MRO Cost Analyst

As an MRO Group member, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of competitive tenders within the services area and executing indirect supplier contracts. Responsible associate must have excellent negotiation skills to influence, gain consensus and negotiate effectively. Candidate must also have excellent communication skills to mediate and resolve conflict between customer departments and suppliers / relationship management The successful candidate must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills in dealings with suppliers on matters of cost, quality and/or delivery.

Salary Range: $69,283.00-$81,510.00 annually

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies activities
• Contract negotiations and execution for various on-site indirect service vendors
• Interface with Suppliers: cost / price negotiation, invoice discrepancies, contract quality / delivery concern escalation point
• Support Departments: Service spend cost analysis and improvement activity
• Purchasing Business Plan Achievement: cost reduction, continuous improvement project
• Approval of Purchase Requisitions using SAP
• Contract and document control using Ariba
• Collaborate with North American sites for cost and delivery initiatives
• Month end cost reporting
• Support departments by ensuring adherence to the North American Indirect Procurement Governance Policy

Requirements:

• Education in commercial contract law and/or relevant work experience
• Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing and supplier cost negotiations
• Strong project management skills and experience
• Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint

• Experience with identifying and achievement of indirect procurement cost savings
• Strong data mining focus
• Reporting experience
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong presentation skills

Job Related Must Haves:

• Willing to work overtime/ weekends as required on short notice
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice. Valid Canadian Passport, or B1 Visa is required.
• Willing and able to support call in duties for production Saturday, shutdown activities, support second shift and yard sweeps as required
• Willing to cancel pre-booked vacations as required
• Valid G driver's license

Additionally, HCM provides weekly, monthly, and annual attendance bonuses, equaling a potential additional $1.40 per hour; a Team Achievement Bonus paid two times per year; an industry leading Defined Contribution (DC) pension that includes company contributions and company matching; and a comprehensive benefit plan that provides choice and flexibility with the cost subsidized by company contributions. HCM also provides shift premiums paid at 5% per hour up to $1.70 for afternoon shift, and 10% per hour up to $3.40 for the overnight shift.
