Roles & Responsibilities:
Play an important role in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. Mechanical
knowledge, attention to detail, communication and a positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of this role!
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues
accurately - Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming to
vehicle functionality and longevity - Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorist on good vehicle use
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Communicate with the supervisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary
changes, new parts needed, or any other concerns related to repair or maintenance
work on vehicles
Qualifications:
- Apprentice or Red Seal Certified Mechanic License
- Safety certifications are an asset (First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, etc)
- Experience with the automotive industry is an asset
- Valid drivers license
- Experience Completing service records accurately and on time
- Understands the importance of customer service
