Class 1 Truck Driver

Job Responsibility:

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Duties

• Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including basic automotive repairs as needed.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
• Proven experience in commercial driving or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus, enabling quick troubleshooting of vehicle issues.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as part of employment requirements.

Pay: $24.96-$26.37 per hour
