Responsibilities for CBSA Transportation Security Guard
- Conduct vehicle inspections and verify the mechanical condition of fleet vehicles
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle searches to ensure security and required equipment is onboard
- Perform post-trip cleaning and sanitization of vehicles
- Search individuals and their luggage
- Log and safeguard individuals’ valuables
- Transport individuals, luggage, and personal effects safely and securely
- Maintain custody, control, and safety of individuals during transport
- Ensure compliance with child safety regulations and transportation laws
- Escort individuals between vehicles and designated destinations
- Escort individuals and luggage through airport environments
- Transport and escort individuals to and from facilities such as:
- Confirm departures as part of verification procedures
- Complete and submit required documentation to Shift Supervisors and CBSA
- Ensure proper transfer and documentation of personal property (e.g., valuables, medication)
- Perform additional duties as outlined in the Post Orders
Qualifications for CBSA Transportation Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Have a valid Saskatchewan Security Guard training certificate to obtain your license
- 6 months- 1 year of security experience in a public facing position
- First aid certification - required
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
- Valid full class 5 drivers license and clean driver's abstract
- Ability to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance
- Education diploma from Canada.
- Be able to provide Canadian equivalency documentt, If the education was done outside Canada
- This position requires Canadian citizenship or permanent residency due to contractual obligations with our client.
