We are a busy couple with three young children (ages 1.5, 3.5, and 5.5) living in Alta Vista in Ottawa, Ontario. Father has a demanding career and mother is a stay at home mother (SAHM) on an extended maternity leave from a career in family healthcare. We are seeking a dedicated full-time live out nanny who greatly enjoys and has experience working with larger families (September 2026 start, ~40 hours/week, weekdays 8 am to 5 pm approximately). Our ideal candidate must be a fluent English speaker; French/English bilingualism is not necessary but would be an asset. Our ideal candidate will embrace a role with childcare and house management components, as he/she will be working alongside a SAHM and will be actively involved in helping her manage her household and support the needs of her children. Our ideal candidate will truly enjoy helping keep a home organized and functional, and will take initiative to tackle household tasks during moments of down time. As we have a house cleaner twice a month, we will not ask our nanny to do deep cleaning chores but rather assist with tidying, meal prep, cooking, laundry, and sweeping/mopping. Our ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, self-disciplined, intelligent, organized, loves children, and is an all-around good-natured go-getter. We seek a childcare provider who excels at being patient and compassionate and who also excels at regulating his/her own emotions while attending to the needs of children. In addition to being a calm and grounded presence in our home, we seek a nanny with a leadership mindset who can confidently set and maintain boundaries with our children, such that they develop a deep respect for and look up to him/her. Other assets in our ideal candidate include being: fragrance free, non-smoking, possessing a valid drivers license, and having no allergies to our docile and friendly cat (our sole family pet).
