Nanny Wanted - Seeking Household Assistance And Light Childcare In Barrhaven As Of September 2026

Our family in Ottawa, Ontario, (Old Barrhaven specifically) is seeking help with household management as well as light childcare for our two children (ages 9 and 12). We’d really appreciate help with the following:

• As of September, our 9 year old finishes school at 3pm. He would benefit from having an adult present to help him with after-school snacks, prompts for homework, and general company until we’re able to get home from work (before 5pm). His older brother will also come home from school between 4 and 5.
• We have a house cleaner every second week, but we fall behind on some other housekeeping tasks (e.g. laundry, changing the linens, cleaning out the fridge, keeping things organized and tidy, decluttering). Are you able to help with any of these tasks to lighten our load?
• Meal planning and prep would be a godsend. Our children are very picky eaters, but they are interested in trying new things. Evenings are rushy with sports and appointments, and we often default to a very short list of meals. I miss eating great food almost as much as the act of making it.
• Potentially other tasks as we get to know each other or you have things to suggest. We are very open to anything to make our household run more smoothly.

The ideal candidate would be available for 2-3 hours, 2-3 afternoons per week (we are flexible, and timing depends on your availability, skills, and interests).
