We are seeking a live-out nanny to join us as of November to care for our son who will be 11 months. He is a chunky curious happy guy who loves to laugh and goof around. We live in New Edinburgh in Ottawa in a very walkable neighbourhood backing on to Stanley park, bike paths, splash pad etc. We are directly on the #6, 7, 9, and 20 bus routes. Our ideal candidate is experienced with infants and is available for full-time work. We are looking for a dependable caregiver who will bring a warm steady presence, and is comfortable integrating into the household. Duties would include routine infant care and feeding as well as progressing solids, playing, reading, getting outside even in bad weather, and exploring baby groups, the library, and social things in the neighbourhood. We would also expect assistance with light housekeeping and meal prep where time allows. The ideal candidate can communicate clearly and effectively, is open to giving and receiving constructive feedback, is collaborative and has good situational awareness, and can provide excellent childcare and support the smooth functioning of our household. Applicants must hold valid infant cpr and basic first aid. We also have a very small gentle hypoallergenic dog! We may need occasional pet care if this is something you are comfortable with but not mandatory. We offer a competitive rate of $22 per hour.
