Manager, End User Computing / Digital Workplace Technology

We're looking for a Manager, End User Computing / Digital Workplace Technology to lead the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of WorkSafeBC's digital workplace technologies and services.

In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping the future of the employee technology experience across messaging, collaboration, endpoint management, virtual desktop infrastructure, cloud workplace technologies, and modern device management solutions. You'll provide strategic leadership to a high-performing technical team while ensuring our employees have secure, reliable, and innovative tools that enable productivity, communication, and collaboration.

As a key leader within the IT Security & End User Technology Department , you'll champion emerging technologies, guide modernization initiatives, strengthen enterprise security, and ensure technology investments support WorkSafeBC's strategic priorities.

This role combines time in our offices with flexibility for remote work.

• Develop and execute the strategy and roadmap for End User Computing, Digital Workplace, collaboration, messaging, endpoint management, and virtual desktop technologies.
• Lead a team of technical professionals responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and modern workplace technology services.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to align digital workplace solutions with organizational priorities and employee needs.
• Recommend and implement innovative solutions that improve productivity, collaboration, user experience, and operational efficiency.
• Guide the evolution of cloud and hybrid device management, endpoint security, virtual desktop infrastructure, and workplace collaboration platforms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, AI-enabled workplace solutions, and vendor offerings to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Lead the planning and delivery of complex technology initiatives, including development of business cases, project proposals, implementation roadmaps, and operational plans.
• Oversee technology standards, governance frameworks, and service management practices to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.
• Champion enterprise security practices in collaboration with security and infrastructure teams.
• Consistently model the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.

Your Background And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in End User Computing, Digital Workplace, Infrastructure, or Workplace Technology environments.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps, and operational plans.
• Experience managing vendors, budgets, and complex technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise workplace technologies, collaboration platforms, endpoint management, and cloud-based service delivery models.

Salary : $130,999 - $159,163/ yearly
