We are seeking a Full-Time Bookkeeping Associate to join our team. This is a unique opportunity in our Markham office, providing a solid foundation for future growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Managing full-cycle bookkeeping tasks.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Preparation and review of financial statements
• Support with taxation, payroll and financial reporting
• Prepare and file monthly HST/GST and WSIB remittances
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and maintain effective communication.
• Administrative duties, including reception and various office tasks.
• Adapting to peak period workloads, which may require additional hours.
• Willingness to take on varied tasks and demonstrate flexibility outside regular duties.
• Contributing to the growth and development of our practice.
• Familiarity with leading bookkeeping platforms, particularly QuickBooks.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of the accounting cycle.
• Proficiency and experience with bookkeeping software, particularly QuickBooks.
• Demonstrated hardworking and humble attitude.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Possess high attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to a growing business environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated humility and willingness to adapt to various tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.55-$29.06 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
