Peter Lucas Project Management invests in people and community to provide gold standard project delivery. We are currently looking for experienced Project Managers to join our team and support major industrial projects in British Columbia and Northern Ontario .

We currently have opportunities supporting two major site-based projects: one located near Prince George, British Columbia, and another located in Northern Ontario. Candidates may be considered for either project based on their experience, background, and project requirements.

These positions will support the execution of multidisciplinary capital and construction projects , working with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, contractors, vendors, and site operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and execution while coordinating multiple stakeholders in an active industrial environment.

Both opportunities are site-based and operate on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation. Camp accommodations and travel to and from site are provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop and manage project scopes, execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and deliverables.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, vendors, construction personnel, and site stakeholders.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, scopes of work, technical documentation, and contractor deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, costs, schedules, quality, productivity, and overall performance.
• Manage project changes and evaluate impacts to scope, cost, and schedule.
• Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate procurement activities, materials, equipment, and project resources.
• Support construction execution and assist with resolving technical and field-related issues.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress, risks, priorities, and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts, progress updates, and other required documentation.
• Work closely with site operations to coordinate project activities within an active industrial environment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Support commissioning, turnover, project closeout, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive project management, project engineering, or related experience within mining, construction, heavy industrial, or similar project environments .
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another relevant technical discipline.
• P.Eng., EIT, PMP, or another relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary capital projects through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Experience with brownfield and/or greenfield industrial projects is considered an asset.
• Previous experience working in an operating mine, industrial facility, construction site, or remote project environment.
• Experience coordinating engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, construction teams, and operations personnel.
• Strong understanding of project scope, cost, scheduling, forecasting, risk, procurement, contracts, and change management.
• Strong construction execution and contractor management experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced site environment.
• Ability to work a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation .
