Role Description The Outside Paint Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Burlington, the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This position focuses on building and maintaining relationships with contractors, designers, and commercial customers, driving new business and supporting existing accounts. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting prospective client's job sites, Scheduling meetings with target market segments like property management firms, Condominium boards, School and Hospital boards, Industrial, Residential and Commercial paint contracting companies, conducting on-site sales calls, presenting paint and coating solutions, and providing technical guidance on product selection, application methods, and project planning. The representative will prepare quotes, follow up on leads, manage a sales pipeline, and coordinate closely with the in-store team to ensure timely order fulfillment and high-quality service. This role also involves monitoring local market trends, attending industry events as needed, and representing Appleby North Paint’s service-first approach to professional clients. The role is heavily focused on outside sales and not predominantly an inside sales role.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Presentations and New Business Development skills to effectively showcase products and grow the customer base.
• Candidates should possess Relationship Building and Customer Service skills to maintain long-term accounts and deliver a positive customer experience.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written abilities for client interactions and internal collaboration.
• Experience in paint, coatings, or building materials sales, particularly with contractors or commercial accounts, is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of Benjamin Moore product lines or similar premium paint brands is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the Greater Toronto Area are required.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
• Previous experience in outside sales or field-based account management is preferred.
