Job Summary:
The Medicine Program of NL Health Services Eastern zone has an immediate opening for five (5) full-time, fee for service Internist to join the Division of General Internal Medicine in St. John’s, NL.
The service provider will participate in the hospital inpatient service and will be assigned on the basis of need after discussion the Clinical Chief of the Medicine Program. A 1.0 FTE is 18 to 22 per year at St Clare's Mercy Hospital (SCH). Access to clinic and exercise stress time (subject to availability) and with an equitable split depending on group/colleagues. When the schedule permits, rotations at the Health Science Centre will be possible.
St. Clare’s is a tertiary care hospital that receives referrals from the entire province. It is affiliated with Memorial University and is the primary training center for medical students and residents. Opportunities exist for an appointment with Memorial University Faculty of Medicine.
Required Qualifications- To be considered candidates must hold a MD
- Certification by the Royal College Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL.

- Satisfy credentialing requirements of Eastern Health including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
Remuneration: Remuneration is competitive and in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association Memorandum of Agreement and MCP Fee Schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing their own administrative support.
