Position Overview

Associated Ambulance is currently seeking a qualified Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to join our team at the Rocky Mountain House Station . This temporary full-time position offers a predictable and balanced shift schedule of four days on, followed by four days off . As an ACP with Associated Ambulance, you will be an essential part of our emergency medical response team, providing vital pre-hospital care and life-saving interventions to the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions to determine the extent of injury or illness and immediate care requirements.


• Administer pre-hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for ambulance transportation.


• Monitor vital signs, assess blood glucose levels, and perform other diagnostic procedures.


• Execute advanced life support procedures such as intubation and cardiac pacing.


• Work collaboratively with emergency medical personnel, emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  
  
  
  • Valid ACP Practice Permit – Meets all requirements for EMS practice in Alberta.
  
  
  • Alberta Class IV Driver’s License – Current and valid.
  
  
  • Successful F.A.R.E Certification
  
  
  • Mandatory and Required Training – Up to date on all required certifications, including:
    
    
    
    • Medical Communications Protocol (MCP)
    
    
    • Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC)
