YMCA Aquatics and CYF Programs Manager

Lead transformative Aquatics and Child, Youth, and Family programs at the Markham YMCA Health & Fitness Centre. This full-time manager role ensures safety, leadership, and quality in all program offerings.
In this essential leadership position, you will spearhead the strategic planning and execution of aquatics and CYF programs. You will also oversee daily operations while enhancing staff qualifications and volunteer involvement. Your leadership will help create an enriching environment for participants, emphasizing community connection and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, promote, and implement aquatics programming
• Oversee hiring and training of program staff
• Manage budgets and resource allocations
• Conduct internal audits for safety compliance
• Provide direct support and instruction where necessary
Requirements:
• 5+ years' experience in aquatics and recreation leadership
• Certifications in lifeguarding, first aid, and aquatics
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Flexibility in working hours
• Focus on inclusivity and accessibility in programming
