Industrial Electrician – Extrusion Line Installation
Staffmax is currently seeking experienced Electricians for one of our clients in British Columbia to support the installation and assembly of a new industrial extrusion line.
The project involves putting together a new extrusion line and installing the associated electrical components and cabling. The work will primarily focus on equipment assembly and cable installation rather than connecting the equipment to the main power supply or performing commissioning.
The equipment is manufactured by Presezzi Extrusion, a manufacturer of aluminium, copper, and brass extrusion presses and complete extrusion systems.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation and assembly of a new industrial extrusion line.
Install and run electrical cables throughout the extrusion equipment and production line.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and equipment documentation.
Complete electrical installation work independently and in accordance with applicable safety and electrical requirements.
Route, secure, label, and organize cables and wiring as required for the equipment installation.
Work closely with mechanical trades, project personnel, and equipment installation teams.
Identify and report installation issues, damaged components, or potential electrical concerns.
Follow all site safety procedures, electrical codes, and client requirements.
Support the installation team with additional electrical tasks as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout the project.
What We’re Looking For
Licensed Electrician with a valid 309A certification preferred.
Experience with industrial equipment installation, machinery wiring, or electrical construction.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience running and installing cables on industrial machinery or production equipment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong understanding of electrical safety and applicable regulations.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Previous experience working around manufacturing or industrial equipment is an asset.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of an installation team.
Important Project Scope
This position is focused primarily on assembling the extrusion equipment and running/installing the required cables . It is not primarily a commissioning role , and electricians will not be responsible for final connection to the main power supply or commissioning of the equipment.
Presezzi extrusion systems can include electrically driven equipment and various downstream handling systems, making industrial electrical installation experience particularly relevant.
Compensation
$45–$50/hour, with flexibility depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the project.
