Chez IGA, l'Assistant gérant a le mandat d’offrir en tout temps un service à la clientèle hors pair. Il doit voir à la production des aliments de son département, de façon à présenter des produits de qualité aux consommateurs et ce, en respectant les normes d’hygiène et de salubrité en vigueur. Il agit à titre de spécialiste en la matière auprès de la clientèle. Il supporte le gérant dans la gestion des stocks et des inventaires, en plus de voir aux priorités opérationnelles.
