Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional in Fort Erie, ON .  

Position Title: Security Professional  

Position Location: Fort Erie, ON

Pay Rate: $18.61 per hour

Status: Casual Position 

Shift:  Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun; Various shifts. ( Wide Availability is required ).

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals in Fort Erie, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, willing to work various shifts including nights, and able to work with a dynamic team.

Requirements :

• Must be able to work for a minimum of 24hrs a week.
• A full valid driver's licence (Class G) is an asset.
• Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid ON Security Guard License.
• Must be able to escort contractors and guest through the facility.
• Must be comfortable walking for a long period of time through the shift.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate is a must
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Conduct patrols of designated areas to monitor and ensure the safety and security of the premises
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Escort contractors and guests through the facility providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
