Clinic and Intake Coordinator

Job Responsibility:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Coordinator manages the daily operation of the TICP Community Clinic, a low fee clinic offering long term psychodynamic therapy with closely supervised student therapists to more than 200 clients. Together with the 6 part time staff reporting to them, the Coordinator delivers a thorough intake and client-therapist matching process, processes accounts receivable for client fees, and accounts payable for clinical supervisors. The Coordinator also works with student therapists for client assignment and scheduling, and manages referrals in and out of the clinic.
The role requires compliance with the Ministry of Education, Private Career Colleges (PCC) and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario [CRPO].
CLINICAL WORK
Conducts or delegates two interviews with people requesting service to assess if they meet intake criteria.
Finds and provides referral to alternate service for people who do not meet intake criteria
Conducts exit interviews clients terminating prematurely; offers alternate internal or external referrals.
Liases with other agencies and service providers about our service.
ADMINISTRATIVE
1. Overall responsibility for the documentation of opening and closing case files.
2. Responsible for client assignment in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
3. Responsible for updating the schedule of room bookings and reception staffing.
4. Responsible for hiring, training and supervising reception staff, under the direction of the Clinical Director.
5. Operate capably on the Cliniko practice management platform.
6. Overall responsibility for fee collection (clients].
7. Responsible for approving invoices (supervisors, other expenses) and arranging for premises under the direction of the
Administration Manager.
CLINIC PREMISES
1. Facilitate distance learning setup as necessary in conjunction with reception staff.
2. Responsible for supply re-ordering as needed and for maintaining site cleanliness and safety standards
Qualifications
Registered Psychotherapist. Preference will be given to applicants with Independent Practice and Supervision standing.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Previous experience in a community agency and/or educational setting is an asset.
Language
High proficiency and fluency in both oral and written English.

Position: Contract part time [maternity leave replacement, 16 months]
Location: Toronto
Salary Grade: $35 - 40/hour plus HST. Invoiced twice monthly, paid twice monthly.
