Registered Nurse - Lactation Consultant Position

Join Humber River Health as a Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant, enhancing breastfeeding support within the Maternal and Child Program. Embrace a role dedicated to family-centered care. In this full-time role based in North West Toronto, you will actively promote baby-friendly practices and engage with nursing staff to provide expert education and support. Your commitment to improving breastfeeding outcomes will be pivotal, as you'll implement initiatives that empower mothers in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborate with community agencies to ensure comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities:
- Champion breastfeeding education initiatives
- Plan and evaluate breastfeeding classes
- Handle referrals for breastfeeding issues
- Conduct quality assurance for education effectiveness
- Support nursing staff with breastfeeding expertise
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
- IBCLC Certification required
- Recent clinical experience in breastfeeding support
- Current BCLS and NRP Certification
- Strong problem-solving skills
