Your Responsibilities

• You’ll work with environmental and engineering consultants to identify permitting requirements, coordinate technical studies, and support approvals strategies for a major infrastructure development project

• You’ll lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of technical work programs, ensuring alignment with project timelines

• You’ll act as a key liaison between consultants, project teams, and regulators, ensuring technical studies and submissions align with regulatory expectations and project objectives

• You’ll review technical documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards

• You’ll help determine what permits and approvals are required, identify regulatory triggers, and guide project teams through complex approvals pathways

• You’ll monitor contractor performance, ensuring deliverables meet expectations and regulatory obligations

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting environmental assessments, regulatory approvals, permitting strategies, or project development activities associated with infrastructure, transportation, mining, energy, or major capital projects

• Experience managing consultants, reviewing technical studies, and coordinating multidisciplinary environmental deliverables to support permitting and regulatory approvals

• Experience supporting environmental assessments and navigating Canadian regulatory frameworks

• Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities

• Familiarity with applicable legislation such as the Fisheries Act or Class Environmental Assessments is an asset

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Post-secondary education in environmental science, engineering, geoscience, or a related field is preferred
