Weekend Caregiver

I am actively looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to provide part-time assistance to my parents. Despite experiencing onset dementia, they are still fairly active and independent; however, they need a little bit of help in carrying out a few daily tasks - particularly on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for about 20 to 30 hours per week. The focus of this caregiving role essentially revolves around lending a hand to support their routine tasks, without disrupting their independence. This includes preparing a light breakfast and coffee to help them start their day, and managing their medication to ensure prepacked doses are taken accurately and on time. Other responsibilities in this role include keeping the house clean and comfortable. This might involve duties such as housekeeping, doing the laundry, and vacuuming on a weekly basis. The caregiver will also be required to accompany my parents to their medical and other scheduled appointments. Some experience in meal planning and preparation would definitely be a bonus, though not a strict necessity. Please note that a valid driver's license is essential for this role, as it would greatly facilitate the task of escorting them to their appointments. However, the use of a personal automobile is not required. This caregiver role does not demand a live-in commitment, but will require a certain degree of flexibility. Assistance might be needed at various times throughout the day - from mornings to evenings during the weekends. The position is available with an immediate start date.
