Experienced Part-Time Family Assistant/Nanny & Household Manager Needed in Kelowna

Experienced Part-Time Nanny & Family House Manager Location: Kelowna, British Columbia Regular Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Hours: Approximately 27.5 hours per week Pay: $25 per hour Start Date: Approximately one month from now We are a warm and welcoming family seeking an experienced, dependable, and proactive part-time nanny and family house manager to support our household during weekday afternoons and evenings. We have two children, ages three and five. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, takes initiative, and is comfortable helping with both childcare and household responsibilities. This is not simply a babysitting position. We need someone who can become a trusted and valued part of our family and help our evenings run smoothly. The regular schedule will be Monday to Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We may occasionally require weekend help. Weekend shifts will be discussed well in advance, and the successful candidate will be given plenty of notice. Primary Responsibilities Childcare

• Provide attentive and engaging care for our three- and five-year-old children after school.
• Prepare and serve snacks and dinner for the children.
• Play with the children and plan age-appropriate activities.
• Support the children with their evening routine.
• Assist with bath time, pajamas, teeth brushing, and bedtime preparation.
• Help maintain consistent household routines and age-appropriate boundaries.
• Keep the children’s play areas, bedrooms, and belongings organized.
• Build a warm, caring, and trusting relationship with both children.
• Provide occasional weekend childcare when needed, with advance notice.

Meal Preparation

• Arrive before the children come home to prepare their school lunches for the following day.
• Prepare healthy and child-friendly dinners.
• Occasionally prepare dinner for the entire family.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized after preparing meals.
• Assist with basic meal planning and communicate when household or lunch supplies are running low.

Household and Family Support

• Help keep the home neat, tidy, and organized throughout the week.
• Complete light household tasks related to the family and children.
• Iron clothing as needed.
• Tidy common areas, the kitchen, and the children’s spaces.
• Put away children’s clothing and belongings.
• Take initiative when something needs to be cleaned, organized, prepared, or restocked.
• Help create a calm and organized home environment during the busy after-school and evening hours.

Qualifications The successful candidate must have:

• Previous professional nanny, childcare, or family household management experience.
• Experience caring for preschool- and early school-aged children.
• Strong references from previous families or employers.
• A reliable, responsible, and punctual work ethic.
• The ability to manage childcare and household responsibilities independently.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A warm, patient, and caring approach with children.
• The confidence to take initiative without needing constant direction.
• The ability to commit consistently to the Monday-to-Friday schedule.
• Some flexibility for occasional weekend shifts with advance notice.
• A current criminal record check or willingness to obtain one.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.
