Full-Time Mother’s Helper / Family Assistant Location: Kelowna, BC Position Type: Full-Time (35–40 hours per week) Compensation: Competitive compensation based on experience. About Our Family We are a busy family seeking a dependable, organized, and caring Mother’s Helper / Family Assistant to support both our children and the overall needs of our household. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, takes initiative, and thrives in a dynamic family environment. We are looking for a long-term team member who can become a trusted part of our family’s day-to-day life, including accompanying us on family travel throughout the year. Both parents work from home and are actively involved in our children’s daily routines. This position is designed to provide support alongside us rather than operate independently at all times. There will be many occasions where the Mother’s Helper accompanies a parent and the children on outings, activities, appointments, and family adventures, as well as times when a parent may accompany the Mother’s Helper and children. We value teamwork and are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative family environment. This is not a traditional nanny position. We are looking for someone who enjoys supporting the entire family and household and becoming an integral part of our team. Responsibilities Childcare Support

• Assist with childcare and daily routines
• Help supervise children and engage in age-appropriate activities
• Support school, daycare, and extracurricular schedules
• Assist with preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Transportation to activities, appointments, and outings as needed (family vehicle provided during working hours)

Household & Family Support

• Assist with meal planning, food preparation, and cooking for the family
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming household environment
• Kitchen clean-up, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
• Family laundry, folding, and household organization
• Tidying common living areas, bedrooms, play spaces, and family areas
• Grocery shopping and occasional household errands
• Assisting with household projects and day-to-day family logistics
• Supporting the parents in keeping the household running smoothly

Family Assistant Duties

• Provide hands-on assistance wherever needed throughout the day
• Anticipate household needs and proactively assist
• Help coordinate schedules, activities, appointments, and family routines
• Adapt to changing priorities and provide support during busy periods

Flexibility & Travel Requirements This position requires a high degree of flexibility and is best suited for someone whose lifestyle allows them to accommodate changing family needs. Travel is an important part of this role. Our family typically travels approximately 10 weeks per year, spread throughout the year, and we are looking for a Mother’s Helper / Family Assistant who is excited to accompany us on many of these trips. The ideal candidate will:

• Be available to travel with the family for approximately 10 weeks throughout the year
• Be comfortable with both domestic and international travel
• Assist with childcare and family support during vacations, work trips, and special events
• Have a valid passport and ability to travel when required
• Be available for occasional overnight stays if needed
• Be comfortable with schedule adjustments and occasional short-notice requests
• Be comfortable occasionally working extended hours when family schedules or travel require additional support
• Be adaptable, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Travel expenses, accommodations, and meals while traveling with the family will be covered. Additional hours and overtime opportunities may be available during travel periods. Qualifications

• Previous childcare, nanny, mother’s helper, family assistant, or household management experience preferred
• Warm, patient, trustworthy, and professional
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Valid driver’s license required
• Clean driving record preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification are considered an asset
• Excellent references required

Schedule & Compensation This is a full-time position offering approximately 35–40 hours per week. While the schedule will generally be consistent, flexibility is appreciated as family needs may occasionally change. Due to the nature of family life, there will be times when longer days are required.
