Master Mechanic
Job Responsibility:
Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive repair industry. As an Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning essential skills and techniques while contributing to the maintenance and repair of vehicles. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills in a dynamic dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Learn to read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals.
- Support senior technicians in diagnosing vehicle issues and determining necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle service needs, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and technical skills.
- Assist with heavy lifting as required during vehicle repairs or part replacements.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience as a mechanic is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive repair is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in automotive repair.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
