WAITER / WAITRESS

NATURE OF THE WORK

Welcome customers, take orders, serve food and beverages, follow up with customers, handle billing, and maintain cleanliness in the service area.

PRIMARY TASKS

• Greet customers and provide them with information about the menu.

• Suggest dishes and beverages and take orders.

• Prepare certain ingredients and cocktails, including sangria and mocktails.

• Perform table service.

• Clear tables.

• Set up and prepare tables: cleaning, tablecloths, trays, cutlery, etc.

• Clean utensils and polish glasses.

• Respond to special customer requests: water, utensils, extra plates, etc.

• Perform household tasks related to their position: bar, refrigerators, wine cellar, etc.

• Perform emergency cleaning as needed.

• Take reservations.

• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service.

• At the end of the shift, perform cash closing and balancing, as well as tip sharing.

Perform any other related tasks as needed.

• Education or experience: high school diploma or relevant experience.

• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

• Strong customer service skills.
