Zhone Senior System Architect - Optical Networks

Lead innovations in broadband at Zhone Technologies as a Senior System Architect. Your expertise in DWDM and network architecture will drive next-gen optical transport solutions. As a Senior System Architect at Zhone Technologies, you'll specialize in designing high-capacity DWDM and PON products. This position demands over a decade of experience in networking, combining your technical solution design skills with product ownership. You'll work collaboratively to meet industry standards while ensuring the products meet both technical and business needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive architecture for Optical Transport and ONT products
- Design DWDM network solutions with 100G to 800G capabilities
- Foster adoption of SDN architectures and automation
- Evaluate vendor solutions in multi-vendor environments
- Act as a subject-matter expert in customer proposals
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years in senior technical networking roles
- Solid DWDM optical expertise
- Familiarity with GPON and XGS-PON models
- Practical experience in model-driven network management
