Murex Cem Engineer (Devops) - Toronto

We are seeking a dedicated Murex CEM Consultant to manage environment configuration and drive key Murex initiatives for our client.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage Murex software using Murex tools and scripts.
- Perform basic smoke tests and act as first‑level support, redirecting issues to the appropriate support teams.
- Utilize Murex configuration management tools & methodologies to import/export configuration items and analyze related issues.
- Execute database sanitization, purging procedures, migration sequences, and stabilization; reconcile mismatches and follow up on migration defects.
- Contribute to the development of CEM methodologies, conversion processes, communication workflows, templates, and documentation.
- Customize and document installation and conversion/upgrade procedures.
- Provide training and best‑practice guidance to clients.
- Manage internal streams by creating tools, measuring KPIs, and analyzing potential issues.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Network, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of experience as a Murex Configuration Environment Management Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of Unix or JavaScript.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar) for deployment and infrastructure tasks.
- Motivation to work in the financial software/investment banking industry.
- Experience with Shell Script and SQL.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native deployment practices.
- Experience with Control‑M setup and familiarity with batch architecture.
- Experience with middleware tools (Kafka, MQ, etc.).
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing, DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and other CI/CD tools including Oracle.
- Knowledge of Murex GOM.
- A strong track record of client servicing, understanding customer needs, and building effective relationships.
- Robust time‑management skills and demonstrable problem‑solving & analytical abilities.
