About the Role: QA Automation Engineer Co-op

We’re growing — and we’re hiring a QA Automation Engineer Co-op to join our Research & Development team for the September - December 2026 Coop Term! In this role, you’ll help us maintain product quality by building automated testing for features before they are put into production, ensuring a low-defect experience that our customers love. You’ll collaborate closely with teammates across product and engineering, contribute to a high-trust environment , and play a direct role in shaping the future of the industry.

️ What You’ll Do

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Assist in designing and documenting automated test plans and test cases for new and existing features based on requirements and specifications.

• Document and report bugs, failures, and test results clearly and consistently, while supporting the investigation and re-testing of defects.

• Learn and contribute to automated test scripts as opportunities arise.

• Collaborate with developers and designers to understand features, flag potential issues, and help ensure the team meets acceptance criteria and QA standards.

• Execute manual, exploratory, system, functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing under the guidance of senior QA team members.

• Communicate testing status and findings to the team regularly to help support a positive customer experience.

What You Bring

Some of the qualities that help you thrive in this role:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Practical experience or coursework involving database-driven web application testing and software version control systems (Git).

• Exposure to or hands-on experience with TypeScript and integration test frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.

• A collaborative approach to software quality with excellent communication skills.

• An innovative mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple overlapping priorities effectively.

• Comfort working independently and asynchronously, while also prioritizing collaboration and connection with people.

• Experience (or excitement for) working with AI

Compensation & Perks

We believe in paying our co-op students fairly for their contributions. Students earn a monthly salary, aligned with how many co-op work terms they have completed, in the range of $3,800 to $4,500 CAD per month.

Location

We are remote-first and this role is open to students in Ontario, who are available to attend onboarding for their first week and occasional in-office days at our headquarters in midtown Toronto .
