Senior QA Automation Engineer – Python, Playwright & SQL
Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2-3 Days WFO)
6-12 months
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to build and execute automated test frameworks using Python and Playwright in the trading applications domain Contract QA role focused on hands-on test framework development, test case design, and component-level validation for trading systems.
Must Haves
- 10+ years in **Quality Engineering** or **Automation Testing**
- Strong proficiency with **Python** for test development
- Experience using **Playwright** test automation framework
- Hands-on ability to design and write **test cases** for complex **trading applications**
- Practical knowledge of **SQL** for data validation and test logic
Nice to Have
- Experience building testing systems for financial or portfolio platforms
- Familiarity with component isolation and end-to-end pairing of modules
- Exposure to CI/CD integration for test automation
- Work within multi-engineer QA teams on large automation deliveries
