Expected Salary Range: $116487 - $145609 Annually

Target Variable Performance Pay: 15%

The salary range shown above reflects the expected  compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.

The Executive Producer leads Toronto Hydro's in-house corporate production team, providing strategic, creative, and operational leadership for the organization's video, multimedia, graphics, and content production services. This role inspires and develops a team of creative professionals while actively contributing to content development and production execution, translating corporate priorities into compelling stories and engaging content that strengthen the organizational brand, enhance the employee experience, and support business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead Toronto Hydro's corporate production, graphics, and design functions, fostering a high-performing and creative team while ensuring content and production services align with organizational priorities, brand objectives, and business goals
• Lead the development and delivery of end-to-end productions, including videos, livestreams, events, executive communications, and internal and external campaigns, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to established quality, brand, and accessibility standards
• Provide creative direction and storytelling leadership, translating complex business priorities into compelling content that engages audiences, strengthens the organization's brand, and enhances the employee experience
• Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, stakeholders, and external vendors, serving as a trusted advisor on content strategy, production planning, and communications initiatives
• Drive innovation, governance, and continuous improvement by optimizing production processes, leveraging emerging technologies, managing risk and compliance requirements, and measuring the effectiveness and impact of production services                                   

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Production, Business Administration or a related field
• Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in content creation, media production, creative development, and production leadership
• Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive leadership experience managing production teams and delivering end-to-end productions, with accountability for people leadership, budget management, and vendor oversight
• Extensive experience leading and executing end-to-end video productions, with demonstrated expertise in videography, production techniques, creative development, filming, directing, editing, and final delivery
• Exceptional storytelling and creative direction skills, with the ability to translate corporate priorities and business objectives into compelling and engaging content
• Demonstrated portfolio of successful in-house productions and content initiatives that delivered measurable business, brand, or audience engagement outcomes
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with proven experience managing complex productions, budgets, vendors, contracts, timelines, and resources while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of video production, live events, digital content creation, and end-to-end production workflows, supported by proficiency with industry-standard production and editing tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Mac-based editing platforms
• Experience leveraging emerging content technologies, digital platforms, and AI-assisted production tools to enhance creativity, efficiency, and production quality
• Strong understanding of copyright, licensing, media rights, release requirements, and accessibility considerations
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and foster strong partnerships across all levels of the organization
• Strong political acumen, sound judgment, and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines and competing priorities

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
