Elevate operational risk management as a Specialist Process Safety Engineer at Suncor in Fort McMurray, Alberta. You'll lead initiatives to enhance process safety and contribute to community welfare. This full time role demands 10 years of risk management experience within the resource industry, particularly oil sands.
As a vital member of the Suncor team, you'll implement the Operational Risk Management (ORM) processes and enhance risk maturity in close collaboration with production unit leadership. Your expertise in engineering will inform the development of risk registers and critical control programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ORM process implementation for assigned production unit
- Collaborate with PU leadership to improve ORM maturity
- Develop and update Asset Level risk register and control measures
- Facilitate Bowtie analysis for Major Incident Hazards
- Review and analyze risk maturity and control effectiveness
Requirements
- 10 years of risk management experience in resource industry
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field
- Skilled Engineer designation or eligible registration
- Solid knowledge of risk management principles
- Proven informal leadership and influencing skills
