Co-op Staff Accountant 

Job Description

Famme & Co. is looking for hardworking, dedicated, team-oriented individuals to join our ever-growing team in a Staff Accountant (co-op) role in all three of our locations (London, Stratford & St. Marys) in both four-month and eight-month placements.

We offer a flex time policy for you to enjoy a well-balanced lifestyle for both professional and personal successes along with four-day work weeks during the months of July through to the end of October.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Preparation and review of financial statements and accompanying tax returns


• 
  Perform tax planning, budgeting, cash flow analysis as needed


• 
  Preparation and review of personal tax returns in a professional manner


• 
  Fostering a strong professional client relationship through positive interactions


• 
  Maintaining respectful and professional communication with fellow team members, government organizations and personnel


• 
  Ensuring accuracy of all financial reporting activity


• 
  Timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas


• 
  Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidates will possess the following characteristics:

• 
  Thorough knowledge of business trends across the various industries we serve


• 
  Experience with Caseware, Taxprep, MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) is preferred but not required


• 
  Ability to effectively problem-solve through different situations


• 
  Strong organizational and analytical skills


• 
  A positive and willing attitude


• 
  Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team setting, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines


• 
  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
