Street Culture Project is hiring a Youth Care Worker (FT, weekdays, 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM) for one of our peer homes.
You will be at the heart of our Transitional Housing program. SCP Youth Care Workers show up for our youth everyday in meaningful and impactful ways. Supporting, connecting, empowering and advocating will be the cornerstones of your role. Responsibilities: -Build trust-based, professional, boundaried relationships with youth aged 16 to 21-Support daily living in transitional housing and life skill development
-Implement case plans and safety strategies
Document youth interactions, appointments, and incidents
-De-escalate crises and respond to emergencies What You Bring: -High school diploma (post-secondary preferred)
-Frontline youth work experience (preferred)
-Strong communication and documentation skills
Comfort navigating trauma, mental health, and substance use
-Excellent communication skills
-The ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure Additional Requirements: -Valid SK Drivers License with abstract
-Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance
-Strong time management and documentation skills
-Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office
-Training in CPR/First Aid, ASIST, Crisis Intervention, or Mental Health First Aid is an asset
