Plant Manager – Operations Location: Woodstock
Salary: 125K - 150K
Join a growing organization in the environmental and food processing sector focused on sustainability and operational excellence. In this role, you will lead plant operations, drive performance, and build a strong team culture while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency across the facility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a leadership team and plant workforce
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
- Maintain a strong, visible presence on the plant floor
- Oversee daily operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (food safety, environmental, and labour standards)
- Drive health and safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Manage operating and capital budgets and control costs
- Analyze performance data and translate into actionable plans
- Take ownership of plant performance and operational results
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or production
- Experience managing both salaried and hourly employees
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance in industrial or food-grade environments (e.g., HACCP, CFIA)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and performance tracking tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Results-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
