Senior Building Automation Project Manager

Position Location: Raleigh, NC – supports customers in the greater Raleigh area.

Senior Project Managers coordinate and deliver multiple, simultaneous building automation projects of various complexities in critical institutions such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. They provide fiscal and managerial oversight across all project facets to ensure client satisfaction, effective resource allocation, and safe, timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions, establish comprehensive project schedules, and identify crucial installation timelines.
• Oversee procurement of supplies and materials, actively participate in project cost reviews, and ensure financial efficiency.
• Assist the Operations Manager in contracting subcontractors and coordinating their activities to align with the project scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
• Conduct orientations for project technicians and provide all necessary project documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams.
• Track project resources and progress, document events impacting schedule, scope, and efficiency, and pursue opportunities for project-specific change orders.
• Manage project‑specific billing coordination with the accounting team and Operations Manager; schedule commissioning resources; expedite return of mark‑ups for as‑built development; and ensure timely completion of project‑specific close‑out documentation.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED.
• 2+ years of project‑management experience in the HVAC/controls or related industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications.
• Ability to read and understand MEP drawings, specifications, electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of industry‑standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of project‑management experience in the HVAC controls industry.

Pay Range: $83,966 – $143,942 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary.
