Job SummaryLangan is seeking a
Senior Civil Project Manager
to spearhead the firm’s growth in
Calgary, Alberta. This individual will play a key role in the continued expansion of our regional operations, serving as a growth engine within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a cross‑functional team with the support of executive leadership and an established portfolio of diverse, high‑profile projects. This is an entrepreneurial leadership position focused on driving business development, strengthening client relationships, and growing a strong local presence.
Job Responsibilities
Leverage an entrepreneurial demeanor to drive Business Development activities by developing new clients for the firm and maintaining relationships with existing clients;
Work closely with regional leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization;
Demonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering;
Lead site/civil efforts on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed‑use projects for both public and private clients;
and
Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
15+ years of successful, local and related site/civil engineering experience with a concentration in community development on both small and large projects within Canada;
Professional Engineering license;
(P.Eng.)
Strong client development and client management abilities;
Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
Proficiency ofAutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred;
Active participation in professional organizations;
Experience in technical and proposal writing;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
and
Travel maybe required based on business needs and project assignments. Travel requirements may vary by position and may change based on business needs.
