We are seeking a friendly and professional Banquet Host/Hostess to join our team at The Liberty Grand . This role involves welcoming and assisting guests during events, coordinating guest flow, and ensuring a smooth and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication and organizational skills, and previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, banquet, or customer service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner throughout events
• Managing guest arrivals, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently
• Escorting guests to tables and providing event information as needed
• Coordinating with servers, kitchen, bar, and banquet team to ensure smooth event operations
• Assisting with guest inquiries and addressing concerns professionally
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and presentable entrance and host area
• Supporting event setup and breakdown as required
• Following all health, safety, and service standards
• Performing other duties as assigned by management to support event operations and team success

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, hosting, or high-volume hospitality experience is an asset
• Smart Serve certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Flexible availability based on business needs
• Strong commitment to exceptional guest service
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
