Senior Software Developer at Boyd Thermal

Join Boyd Thermal by Eaton as a Senior Software Developer in Kelowna, BC, or remotely in North America. This role focuses on building desktop applications and fluid simulation software while collaborating closely with a software architecture lead. You will take charge of developing simulation software used by engineers in major industries. The job requires a versatile developer who can solve complex problems without a defined workflow. You will work on standalone applications and contribute to the desktop application, solver physics, and internal tooling, demanding skills in multiple programming languages. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a standalone desktop application for network flow
- Collaborate on solver work using Python and C++
- Implement features in the main desktop application
- Contribute to geometry, meshing, and CAD integration
- Support build, packaging, and release engineering efforts
- 7+ years in software development
- Proficiency in Python, C#, C, and C++
- Experience in desktop application development
- Comfort with large legacy codebases
- Practical use of AI and development tooling
