Certified Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator (Boom Truck)

Job Responsibility:

Position Summary

JVC Group is currently looking for an experienced Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator (Boom Truck) to join our team. This position is a full time, long term role with a stable and consistent schedule in the local Edmonton/Sherwood Park area. The Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator (Boom Truck) must be able to perform safe operation of equipment with proper understanding of dealing with planning lifts and all necessary paperwork involved. They must demonstrate a positive attitude with fellow workers and clients and ensure all equipment is kept clean, properly maintained, and ready for work.

Compensation: $28 to $40 per hour

Mandatory Requirements:

JVC Group employees are expected to support and participate in a culture of safety and promote JVC Group's core values. Candidates will need to complete a JVC Group pre-employment D/A test and applicable competency testing.

Education and Experience

· 1 + years of picker operator experience.

· Experience in rigging is necessary.

· Heavy equipment experience is an asset.

Mandatory Safety Certificates:

• H2S Alive
• CSTS 2020
• Standard First Aid

Safety Certificates that are an asset but not mandatory:

• Confined Space Entry/Monitor and Rescue
• Ground Disturbance
• Fall Protection is an asset.

· Valid class 1 driver's license and/or Valid class 3 drivers license, with clean driving abstract.

· Ability to assist and perform repairs and maintenance duties (on-road and off-road equipment).

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience with MS Office Suite (must be able utilize a computer/tablet and other technology applicable to the job)
• Capable of setting and managing priorities to meet all deadlines
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Pay: $32.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 65 per week
